Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm an IT student with a passion for photography. I am from a country rich in Natural, Cultural and Historical heritages and I spend most of my leisure time reading, searching, travelling and documenting my trips to such destinations. I have traveled across various parts of my country and some of the neighboring countries: India and China. I love to meet new people, share and learn about the cultures and their way of living.
This scholarship can be a window of opportunity to learn from the very best of the field, to learn about different parts of the world by actually visiting the place and to establish myself as a travel photographer.

Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am an IT student currently pursuing my undergraduate studies. Photography started off as a hobby to me and grew along with my lust for travel. i would photograph the things around me; my neighborhood, people and places that i visit. i am fascinated by little things around us, be it a small fern growing on an old worn off wall or random people at a busy market place. i try to find a different perception to what people see everyday. I believe that simply taking a picture doesn't capture the true essence of the subject and that people probably have seen the same shot too many times; this is what drives to find a different perception to things. I've had no photography training yet and I learn by reading and watching the works of other photographers.
This scholarship can be my chance to work and train with a professional photographer and gain all the skills and knowledge required to stand out in the crowd.
