Photography has always been a passion of mine. I still have my original Pentax K1000 35mm that my Dad brought me as a child. I recently completed my Diploma in Photoimaging at Melbourne's NMIT. It was four challenging years juggling full time shift work, raising a young family and part time study. But it was a rewarding and creatively stimulating time and one that nourished and fuelled my hunger for photographic knowledge. Travel photography is something that I have always loved. Unfortunately with a young family I don't get to travel anywhere as often as I would like. Last year however I had the opportunity to travel to St Petersburg, Dubai and the South Island of New Zealand. What a great year. I think that I would be a great choice for the scholarship for the following reasons: I have shown by obtaining my Diploma that I have a strong dedication to gaining photography knowledge. I am mature, disciplined, hard working, confident, great with people, extremely passionate about photography, creative and I have a high degree of physical fitness.
