Travel Indonesia - Is Balinese White Magic real?

INDONESIA | Wednesday, 5 December 2012 | Views [2424]

Hanna Butler, the winner of World Nomads 2012 Travel Writing Scholarship, travelled to Southeast Asia to immerse herself in the local culture and write about her experiences.

In Bali, Indonesia, Hanna seeks out and finds a traditional Balinese White Magic healer, and is shocked to see the visceral effects that the practice can have on the sick and vexed. Initially apprehensive to get down on the mat and have the eye-opening practice performed on her, Hanna succumbs, and experiences white magic healing for herself.
