A trip in USA in a computer engineer point of view

A step closer to independency

TURKEY | Wednesday, 6 May 2015 | Views [121] | Scholarship Entry

It was on December 2014 when I first visited Turkey, I haven't been in such place before. I always been in home in Iraq geeting attached to my TV showes and movies, and trying to run away from reality. My parents are so restricted that they don't allow me to go out that much, but I always imagine myself in somewhere else where I can be free, and be independent. On December, my mother, brother and I visited Turkey, and the place was amazing. I could see some girls who are independent, and I strongly wanted to be just like them. However, as I said, I came from a restricted family that do not accept the girl to go out alone and be free unless she gets married! I could not do anything there, but I wished I could. I am someone who needs to live on his own away from restrictions. I'm going to be graduated after a month, and I think I can travel afterwards if I had big opportunities like a trip in USA. Travelling can help me strengthen my personality. Being a strong person is all I ever aimed for, and I want to be someone who differes from the society he lives in. I would love to encourage girls in Iraq to be independent as well and aim for better future. I want to prove to my family that I can handle it. All of these dreams stepped a bit closer in the moment I put my feet in Turkey. I found a way to be strong, independent and free person. The beauty of Istanbul was consuming. The sea was calming me down, and the nature made me sense peace and freedom. Every aspect in Turkay was delightful, and I can't wait to visited back. Maybe next time, it will be with my friends, and I would be able to do much more stuff than i would've if I was with my family. It was a heaven on earth, and everyone should get the chance to be there.
