Hi everyone.

All good things come to an end and our epic journey is almost finished. Back to Perth today. Catching a taxi from Tanah Rata in the Cameron Highlands to KL at 1000hrs then flight from KL to Perth at 1800hrs. Got lots of photos developed in TR as quite cheap. Lots to show everyone.

Hi everyone. Weather is fantastic. not too hot . about 27 to 29 deg C during the day. We have been having lots of Sangria , beer and whiskey. Tried paella x2 but each time have been a bit disappointed. Not what we were expecting. Drinks quite cheap in the restaurants. May go for a curry and quiz night tonight at a local pub. Getting lots of time by the pool and down the beach. Back to Ireland on Thursday and the 2nd last leg of the holiday in Ireland. Then off to Malaysia and back home on the 17th July.

Off to Ireland and Spain!

Hi all. We fly from Cardiff airport today at 5pm for Belfast. Then on Thursday at 2pm for Spain for one week. I know, it sounds crazy! But then we go back to Ireland for the next three weeks, before leaving the sunny British Isles for the last leg of our trip before coming home.

When I say sunny I'm not being funny either. The weather has been like an Australian spring time with temperatures up to 27 deg, and very hot in the sun. I went for a swim in the Lake District, much to the surprise of the other hikers with us! No Robin I did keep my jocks on!!

England and Wales

A beautiful sunny day in Wales. Had a great time in London. Went to see Les Miserables. Buck palace, Tower of London, cruise on the Thames etc etc. Stayed with Robert and Sophie in London, then with Joan in Brockenhurst. Caught the train to South Wales. We are heading for Scotland and hopefully the Isle of Islay on Monday.

Switzerland

I am writing this in South Wales at Di and Jim's . We completed 5500 kms in Europe, had a wonderful time. Grindelwald was stunning and we loved the cable cars and the snow. Went to the top of Mont Blanc, and into Italy on the cable. Had a hot chocolate where the Pope had visited!!

We have nearly reached Mont Blanc, just updating the web site and having a taste of the local liquor called Genepi, like a herbal whiskey: We have travelled over 3000 klms so far; Probably heading for Munich after Mont Blanc: Scenery is fantastic!!!!!
