Finding a subject was easy, because both of us are in a university that receives around 40 exchange students per semester; so we asked them the first thing that came to their minds when they thought about Mexico and they all said eating spicy and food. So what better option than make a video about that.

We cannot compare our filmmaking experiences, while Claudette has only worked with moviemaker; Daniela has a better knowledge in this topic, starting that she studies Communication, where she has been knowing and practicing filmmaking; that why filmmaking is Daniela’s passion.

Daniela’s whole life revolves around the idea of one day becoming an important and internationally known filmmaker, so participating in this project makes her gain more experience and receiving tutoring. As for Claudette she works and understands other cultures, so if we wanted to bring along someone who was willing to try crazy things and was curious enough to go into other cultures, she is the one.

Also having the opportunity to go Brazil, know about the culture, traditions, history, meeting some Brazilians, and of course live and feel the Carnaval will be a great and unique experience.
