My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Growing up, I was never a dreamer. Everything was set up for me especially on what I was suppose to be. Yet as a child, I was always with a camera with me. It felt natural. I never thought that the one thing that is always with me would end up as my life saver.

There came a point in my life where in I underwent depression. I became lost with my sense of self because I never had a dream for myself. It was until I met my photography professor who had inspired me to believe in my own potential. I did a life changing decision to really pursue photography and since then I never looked back. It had change everything in me and for once in my life I now have a dream on my own.

Photography thought me how to see beauty in things and in people. As a photographer, you don't judge a scenery just because it is 'just' beautiful but you see it's potential to be beautiful.

I want to be chosen because I am very eager to learn. Due to my limited knowledge and experience, I am still unable to fully express my thoughts and emotions in my photos. I believe that through this scholarship, it would help me not only as a photographer but also as a person.
