Well, it took a long time to get as far as Lima, Peru with the 12.5h flight from Madrid elongated by a 3.5h delay. This meant my connecting flight to La Paz, Bolivia was leaving as we landed and there were no further flights with space until the next day. There were 4 others in the same situation, so afternretreiving our luggage we were sent to a very nice hotel for the night. As the day was warm and sunny (25 degrees) I spent the afternoon walking along the coast and the lovely gardens of the Miraflores area with Carbine, who runs her own bakery and restaurant on Lac Annecy - very pleasant and much needed exercise.
