ahhh, i was soo upset yesterday morning... The weather man told me it would snow so i stayed up all day at school on thursday looking out the window and waiting for it to come... but it decided to snow during the night while i was sleeping,, !

but then it snowed all day yesterday and man, ooh man it was sooo cool, i thought it was rain at first because it was so tiny, but then it started getting bigger and whiter and it was so cute.

tonight im showing my italiano family what an australian pizza tastes like and they said theyre going to compare it to the pizza we're having tomorrow at the best italian pizza shop in chieri! im sure i'll get the win though!

i'm also going to the torino carnivale tonight so that should be interesting...

.

xoxox

the arts of orange cutting

i've been getting to know my italian host family a bit more now and its been pretty interesting...

apparently us australians have got it all wrong in the arts of eating an orange! i started cutting mine at dinner yesterday and the whole family gave me weird looks and all said 'per che?' meaning 'what the.?' but i gave them the same look when they explained that yoghurt sometimes goes into the microwave????

school is lots of fun here but i dont enjoy waking up at 6:30 to get the bus!!! me and chiara both wake up exhausted and half asleep, which explains why we accidently used salt instead of sugar in our cofees yesterday.. hmm shall we put it in the microwave??

P:S:::::one of the english teachers at school has asked me to join one of her classes so they can teach me italian and i can teach them english. but their work is sosososoooo hard. i couldnt even answer one of the questions, which was rather embarrasing :)

love you all, missing you veryveryvery much

at my first day of italiano schooling

hello losere burghers,
i had my first day of italiano school today and well, it was quite an experience...... lol.
in my first class (philosophy) the teacher was completely out of it! I'd just sat down in my chair when the whole class moved over and started talking italian to me! hahah and the teacher just kept teaching and talking to herself like normal.
Then in my next class i had english with my italian aunty Margherita. And her class FULL of italian stallians : ) umm yeh that was a pretty exciting class to join
Then i had spanish, and i'm the only one in class who doesnt know any spanish. so the lesson was therefore dedicated to teaching me and getting me up to date. even though i didnt really understand anything while they were explaining spanish in italian, when i hardly know italian :S

It's weird, the people here actually know more english than i'd expected.. and they listen to more english music than italian : ) BOH

Just arrived and having fun already

Well i'm currently relaxing in my hotel room in Milano with my new wep pals Elanie and Jess. It's soo awesome here. We have a whole room to ourselves with an amazing view, and a hilarious little italian T.V (their shows are sooo weird, we watched their version of deal or no deal and it was sooo Italian, they got up half way during the show and started doing an italian boogie ).

Definitely worth the long trip.. it was the longest night of my life (around 24 hours of darkness outside!) at least it helped me get some sleep. i had the window seat on the flight to milan and i woke up and looked out the window and there were massive mountain tips covered in snow peaking through the clouds (the alps). i took photos but i dont think that they are anywhere near as good as the real thing.

the hotel is really nice, if you skype me early enough tomorrow i'll show you around before everybody goes to sleep. we have our own balcony that has a view of the mountains and at the front of the hotel is a street of shops and if you follow that there is lake maggiore. the houses are hilarious theyre just placed so randomly everywhere, theres a little island in the middle of the lake and it is just covered in these little matchbox houses. i'll put up all of my photos tomorrow so you can see.

love you lots miss you all

on my way to ITALLLIA !

Hey everyone, im on the plane from bangkok to london at the moment. I’ve got just under 9hours left on this flight and then I’ll finally be in london!!
Sorry about the panic attack just as I was about to leave, scared the bajeezus out of me. ((was waiting in line to board the plane when i realised i'd lost my pasport! everybody started running round like crazy until my name was luckily called over the speaker when somebody found it)) Had some serious shaking issues when I finally sat down on the plane. It kind of distracted me from how much I missed you guys though which was good and I learnt to never take my eyes off that bumbag again .
The flights have been pretty sweet so far, I’ve been playing guess when the plane takes off the ground and when we have touchdown in landing. Theres good food, nice staff and all the staff on british airways have like the cooooooolest accents. Customs hasn’t even been that bad either, its basically the same shinanigan as what we did in melbourne. It’s been good hanging out with the other wep travellers, we met up with about 10 more kids in sydney. Some had been up since 2am yesterday because they came from cairns!(and I thought my flight was too soon) I’ve made some pretty good friends we’ve been playing uno, racing eachother on the electrical running strip and its good having them here because I’m still in a daise from tiredness and it is still feeling really surreal -I don’t know how long its going to take me to realise how far apart we are, I get a shock everynow and then when I look at the map, did you realise italy is basically on the other side of the world!
It’s soo cool seeing where everybody is going, I’ve met so many people already –just from waiting in line for the loo- keeps me sane though everybody else on board is sleeping! Im soo excited I just want to keep talking though!
Thanks for your letters they were so cute, I was getting all emotional on the plane. I love you guys so much and im going to miss you like crazy.

BTW- HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY ! love you all, give my love to A.Aggie’s family and give them all big hugs and big sloppy kisses from me.
Love you
Cassie, (your favourite daughter that you will miss the most.)
Tues26th 8:30am in melb time / 9:30am wherever I am.
Just passing over Delhi at the moment. I think its part of India? : ) : ) : ) : )
