We'Ve had a great two weeks in Canada connecting with friends and family.

Some highlights:

- walking across the bridge from Gatineau Quebec to Ottawa with fantastick views of the Parliament Buildings and Ottawa River

- lunch at one of our favorite spots: Play in the Byward Market

- wine tasting in Westport, Ontario at Scheuerman Vineyard - who knew you could make Chardonnay in an area this cold?

- sampling some nice beers including an excellent IPA at Rurban Brewery in Cornwall

- Learning about cram to table local products at Marrow & Spice

It Begins - Canada

All journeys start from home - but "home" for us is still where we grew up. That's Ottawa for me and Cornwall for Jayne. Both are in Eastern Ontario or for the geographically challenged between Toronto and Montreal.

For the next two weeks we will be in Ottawa, the cottage (or cabin as they say in the US) on the Big Rideau Lake, and in Cornwall before flying to France.
