There is always that amazing height of anticipation before you leave on an unknown adventure. Be it to an elusive foreign country or a visit to the doctor or dentist.

I find that first step intimidating.

The plane.....

I must say, every plane trip is like opening the 20 page local newspaper.

You kind of know the highs and lows before you embark.

What makes it exciting is your interpretation.

There was this young Aussie guy and his mate sitting across the aisle from us.

Very excited to be heading to Thailand.

Talking about all the great adventures they would embark on.

They we're a little pissed to start with but dealt with the anxiety of their first,

i believe "long haul flight" with a shit load more alcohol,

and a bottle of funny coloured little pills.

Not a great idea........
