Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I feel a need to communicate, I feel a need to inspire, I feel a need to move.

The best way of feeding this need is through a visual medium like photography, a medium which crosses all language, educational and geographical barriers and is understood by all. This is why I want to get this scholarship, and will work hard at it if I do.

I am originally from Serbia, and was always keen on photography and cinematography, they are my passion and something that I really want to do in life - communicate and tell stories through images.

I have been looking for a way to turn that passion into a career in travel photography for a while now, sending photos to NG and being featured, but this competition seems perfect to go one step beyond and go on an actual assignment and work with an established, creative photographer.

I want to master the art of capturing a moment in time, that will live forever, through a photographic image.

Thank you for your time.
