Even though I was only shooting on a disposable camera I was hooked. After my trip to Russia a camera was always taken when travelling to preserve the sights, sounds and smells that a photograph can often trigger in a memory. I hope that I am chosen as I would love the opportunity to travel to Oman a country so rich in history and culture. Also the chance to work with a National Geographic photographer and learn from his experience and to see how he works whilst on assignment is a once in a lifetime opportunity and one that I would relish the chance to be picked for. I have long been an admirer of photographers such as Don McCullin, Walker Evans, William Eggleston, Stephen Shore.
