Trip to Police Point at the estuary of Anson's Bay was worth the 43 kms of unsealed road adventure! Arriving a few days before the easter holiday makers allowed for the selection of the choiced site overlooking the tidal estuary.

The proliferation of bird life was a spectacle worth the trip. The beach of the Bay of Fires extends 35 km to Binalong Bay

Recherche Bay

The historic and very scenic Recherche Bay was our destination during February. The weather was sensational - as were the oysters collected around the estuary.

Great area to explore over many days. The number of Queenslanders visiting the area was remarkable.

Southern Forest - Tasmania

The forests have played a central part of life in Tasmania since the beginning of time. It still is central today!

A visit to the great Southern Forests is a must for all visitors. To make it worthwhile an overnight stay is worth considering. Camping is permitted within the forest.
