A day out at Biddulph https://journals.worldnomads.com/biddulph/ Wed, 22 Apr 2026 13:48:50 GMT World Nomads Adventures I began as a watercolour artist; using photographs as reference points. I found I was spending more time taking them than actually painting. I completed a Fine Art degree using photography and continued once graduated. Living in green areas I have a passion for wildlife; whether it be the deer or the squirrels and birds in the back garden. I love discovering places, local or further afield, they're the storybooks that through photography I can tell their tales; photography allows me to immortalise that ephemeral moment. Technically, I am passionate about detail and natural light. Considering if the whole story is within the shot or, readjusting removing something not needed can be the making of a shot. Having worked with studio lighting, natural light isn't fake or controlled, it's usable. Outside of photography, I will embrace any new challenge, I rock climb and I am currently learning to dive; on a quieter note I enjoy a novel or walking my greyhound. Photography for me is another communication avenue.
