I could sit here and tell you how it's a dream of mine to travel to Columbia and that I'm too poor to go off my own back (at present- this is true).
I could say how deserving I am of an adventure, I could just straight up say how I am the best (at present- I am not). But I won't,
instead I'll tell you why I applied for this contest

I finished this video hours before it was due, not because I enjoy the last minute freak out, but because the mic I ordered two months ago only got here a week ago this is also why I interviewed my dad (I also find him funny). I enjoy making films, but my own perfectionism stops me from showing others, I want my creations to be amazing or I don't want them to exist at all; but I am learning this is ridiculous. So I post this video, with all its glaring imperfections, not because I want a holiday, but because I want to learn from someone who has reached a level I aspire to.
Yes a South American adventure would be awesome but so would learning how to present a traveller's story in a compelling and professional way.

I will be seeing the world regardless of this scholarship, but the chance to work with a film maker of that caliber, is something I won't risk at least trying.
