My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Hi everybody,

My name is Beatriz Barros and I´m a 26 years old portuguese girl. I've been a fan of National Geographic since I can read. And, before of that, my parents tell the story of how I used to leaf through the magazine to see the images.
I've always had the call for adventure; that led me to the study of archaeology and that's what I've been doing professionally for the last years. However, I was leaving another passion behind and that just could not be. That passion is photography. So, last year I enrolled in a photography course and now I'm still studying it. There's so much to learn! I love photography and I am sure that in the future I want to do something related to it.
Travel photography is my dream prospect; I see photography as a way to preserve moments, memorys and also a way of bringing certain situations to light. I will go wherever I have to for that photography, the one that needs to be done.
Going on assignment to such a fantastic place as Oman and having the chance to be mentored by Jason Edwards would be an incredibly life-changing experience for me, not even one little doubt about that! Obrigado.
