A 'place' I have visited

I am a creative designer who works in an advertising agency. Photography is one of my passion which is rooted into myself and soul. Though I am not a professional I like to take photos my way just to freeze the moment. Mostly I do photography specially when I am travelling. I take hundreds of pictures. And I love to do nature photography a lot. I haven't got a chance to being to another country yet. But have a lot of places to visit in my country too. This time my entries will be some shots that I have taken on a trip to the Adam's peak with few of my friends. Since I have less knowledge and had just the default lens i got with the camera kit I couldn't take night shots. So it will be a privilege to get this scholarship and to travel to a country like Greenland will guide me to a very specific field of work. Actually Greenland means very interesting because to me it's being very mysterious land since my childhood. May be it's too cold to me. :) But like to take the challenge and explore the world around me. I love to get to know about other countries, people there and their lifestyles, cultures and rituals, specially FOOD & etc. So I believe I will get this chance. I will see you!

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I started to feel interested in photography when I got a camera for my own self. I just wanted to capture the moments of my life. Simply, it was to freeze the time that I felt something special. But it was just shots taken in day-to-day functions. I love doing nature photography. I started to feel that when I travelled to eastern province. I fell in love with the nature there. So many paddy fields, streams and the Indian Ocean. So I continued capturing the nature during my travels. Then I got a great feeling of traveling, especially to do photography. When I saw this scholarship programme I thought this would be a great chance for me. I have participated in a wild life photography competition, but I didn’t have a win. Nevertheless I was very happy about my participation because that was my 1st ever on a photography competition. I love nature photography. That means capture the best moment as it is. I think we should have good instincts to do that. The nature and common people don’t wait for us, don’t pose for us. I'm very happy and lucky to participate in such a competition.<br/>I wish all of the participants ‘All the Very Best!’. Looking forward to hear a good news too. Thank you!
