My Photo scholarship 2010 entry: A Pause of Life in Hoi An

A series of shots taking the ordinary life and minutes of the people in Hoi An, Vietnam. It is amazing to see this height of preservation in an old town, but also a bit saddening to see modernizations creep in around it. I somehow want to believe in a genuine place, but like a projected image, I can't help realising that Hoi An is actually a living museum with an entrance fee. Still, though, it is a relaxing pause over a course of anyone's journey in Vietnam.
