My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

For me, photography is a love affair. It is meditation, silence, light, geometry, spaces between breaths, harmony and is the expression of an impression. I am a 38 years old businessman and fall in love with photography four years back. Being a nature lover I love to travel whenever I got the time. Traveling is a great way to unwind and to shoot some amazing photographs. When I photograph, being self taught, I try to use my gut feelings as much as possible and I am not afraid to experiment with different settings and techniques. A good photograph is one where the essence of that moment has been captured.
Photography is not only my passion but it is what enables me to share my experience with the world, the way I see it. The series were taken in Leh Laddakh of India about the Buddhist people, where I try to portray their life style, tradition and culture. I think I have done full justice to bring out the essence of their life style through my lens & hope that I will live up to your expectation.
