A 'place' I have visited

For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in photography and film making. However only within the last few months I have purchased my first SLR camera and enrolled into a correspondence course where I hope to advance and learn more about this art form.

What I love about photography, first is the challenge of getting the magic picture, with movie making you can follow a bird, a person, pan the scenery to capture the mood of the scene you are capturing, where in photography you are grabbing a snapshot of the memory, place, animal and moment, your picture must tell the story within a single frame, capture the moment within a split second but be technically correct.

What I would gain from this experience would be more than words can express. Just to name a few would be more confidence with myself and my abilities to achieve to such a high level and share my photos with the world.

As I enjoy documentary making and learning much about the world that we live in and being able to capture the moment with photography would be amazing. To document parts of our world, parts of our history through photo journalism this would be my contribute to the community.
