Banff

Went skiing again today, if possible i was worse then the day before, pretty much in tears a couple of times as i wasnt picking it up as fast as Ronin and Gemma and i was getting frustrated. My body is aching.

Out at night to the Pump and Tap and Wild Bills, pretty messy night as we ended up having too many shooters.

Calgary

Didnt do a whole lot today. Went to safeway to get groceries and by the time we got back we were frozen, and in the afternoon we took a local bus which drove for about 2 hours taking us around Calgary. It was dark by the time we arrived back in town and it was even colder then this morning, my hands were hurting so much.

Cincinnati to Calgary

Mary Jo and Larry dropped us off at the airport this morning after saying goodbye to lauren and Dominic.

Gemma and i were lucky enought to be picked for extra security screening, wich i think was thanks to the lady that checked us in. Gemma went through fine but i beeped. So on came the rubber gloves and the wand thing they use to detect metal and explosives and then the pat down. The lady was human so it wasnt that bad.

Arrived in Chicago early so we just had to weait for our flight at 3.30pm. Arrived in Calgary around 6.30, it was snowing. Went through customs alot more easier then expected, was expected a grilling like the USA give everyone but it was ll okay.

Arrived at the hostel and we went outside to play in the snow.

Today was quite a slow day in comparison to the past 2 days, things didnt heat up untill around 4pm when everything needed to be warmed up and prepared. Guests started arriving around 5.15pm and it was all go from then.

There was so much food that Maryjo sent packages home with everyone and there is still enough in the fridge for the next week. Night finished up around 12.30pm.

Niagra Falls

We we all up bright and early this morning for our early departure to Niagra Falls (on the Canadian side). We were greated by the always pleasant customs officers with their usual drilling.

The Falls were fantastic, as usual different to what i expected. We did a Behind the Falls tour type thing. Lauren and Dominic put us up at the Sheraton for the night which was so nice of them, and our room had a full view of the Falls.

We ventured to the Casino and headed to the Outback Steak House for dinner which is meant to be an Australian theme but they have got it so wrong.

New York

Today was our last day in New York. We managed to see Wicked on Broadway, the show finished at 5pm and our train to Hudson left at 5.45pm so we had to run from the theatre to our hostel (which is completley normal to see ppl running on the streets in Times Square) but in peak hour things were a little more tricky and our back packs were a big obsticle too.

Anyway after our mad dash we made it to Penn Station with 15 minutes to spare. Arrived in Hudson around 8pm were Dominic was there to collect us.

Our bus arrived at Penn Station around 8:00am. Walked along 5th Avenue. Went into Tifanie and Co and had a look at the Trump Tower. Also assessed which was the better ice rink to go to Rockefellar or Central Park.

Went and watched Rent on Broadway at night, was pouring with rain, Gemma and I were drenched.
