Thailand, hot and wet, here we come

Day 2

Up around 8am. Packed our bags ready to go, had some breakfast and scotty took us to train station.

Said goodbye to scotty and onto the train. Arrived at train station, grabbed some food from 7/11 and caught skybus back to aiport.

Checked in for flight and ran to cafeteria for some lunch. We were quite pushed for time... Gobbled down our food and then went through new check area where you must put all liquids into clear plastic bags and had to throw out all food containing liquids including heaps of stuff we brought for flight like fruit in containers and dip. Bummer

Finally were on the plane.....here we go...

Up up and away we went. Flight took 9 and a half hours due to stong head winds. Hired entertainment unit and pretty much watched movies the whole time. Watched Blood Diamond, such a graphical movie! very sad :(

Arrived in bankok around 8pm. Whoa...and the heat just hits you. Very overwhealming. Taxi drivers running at you from all directions trying to get you to go with them. You just have to keep walking.... finally got someone to take us to Kao San Rd for 300baht. Arrived on this busy bustling street and tried to find kate and elf. Found them in a bar having a drink. Tried our first pad Thai from a street stall......Yum, im in heaven..Then headed to our accomodation at donna's b & b for a big sleep.

Day 1

The big day has arrived. Said our goodbye's and headed off to the airport with elizabeth. When we arrived i met up with a friend from high school called Eliza who i havent seen 4 years. Went up to conter to check in and our plane was delayed till 11.00am. Sat around airport reading the paper, till it was time to go. The fog had cleared and we were up up and away.....

Plane journey was very smooth, no problems at all.

Arrived in Melbourne at 12.00pm. Collected luggage and headed out to find the sky bus into the city. Got bus into train station and stored luggage for the day in some near by lockers.
