My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

My photos are from a mission trip I took to Trinidad. The first day we arrived we were briefed on the culture of the country and were taken to a Hindu temple in order to better understand the beliefs of many of Trinidad's people. I tried to take pictures that were symbolic of those beliefs, as well as had artistic value. I would love to be considered for this opportunity because I love to travel and experience other cultures and because I would greatly appreciate the chance to grow as a photographer. Photography is my art form, it is the way I can show others the beauty I see in the world around me. I would certainly benefit from the opportunity to shadow a professional photographer and from seeing another part of the world!
