I love photography and for the last eight years I have been living in Budapest; a city, at the heart of Europe, that maintains its heritage in good balance to the pressures of modern times. I realize that my immediate environment affords me many possibilities so I have been photographing it. I’ve chosen five photographs and tried to demonstrate the moments where the old meets the new. I started photography; I guess as many people do today, using small digital cameras, often ones that belonged to family and friends. Yet I was always intrigued by different cameras and the ways in which I could use them. I am lucky to live in a city of contrasts. There’s much to experiment with; people, landscapes, abstraction, nature. My interests are diverse, and I try to learn as much as I can. I would like to make good art and try to take the ‘perfect’ photograph, a photograph that everyone can relate to, if I can. I believe that working taking photographs in another country, and in nature, would be a great step forward and a big help for me. I cannot imagine how much I will learn working with an experienced nature photographer like Jason Edwards.
