My Photo scholarship entry: caleidoscope

When you are a kid and watch shows about this planet its only natural to wish u were the one filming, photographing or being in contact with nature in those extreme ways.

Today I study architecture but have felt the need to move away from the mainstream construction realm, doing research on permaculture, sustainability and conservationism. This january I took an elective on photography and have found that my need to go deep in stories, places and situations is leading me towards documenting what goes on "HERE" in this planet, walking through it, feeling it, learning about it and being involved .

I recently made a trip that helped me understand...
After traveling for a 2 month period many people asked me what my favorite spot was.... What revealed to me is that every place is only part of a bigger one and it would be like arguing what is the most notorious part about a culture... its not a matter of selecting a spot but understanding that only with the existence of one, is the other visible.

Seeing “the World” happen in front of your eyes is extraordinary. I cannot explain how exciting it is for me to hear about such an experience as this one. Having this opportunity would probably be the biggest milestone in my life; it could place me in that spot where i wanted to be back in my childhood days.

One of my dreams is to share with all the people my love for this planet & today I feel like i could be closer than ever.

The place i visited is called Earth, and no matter how little relation things might seem to have… we must always keep in mind it all happens “HERE”. It does not involve a period of time but a series of stories in time.

Giving the people in my photos anonymity allowed me to relate to them and understand that:
"we all are part of her, we all are one"
