Mtazamo

I'm an aspiring young film maker coming from a graphic design background. I've been sacrificing and pushing to get new opportunities and challenges that relate to story telling, specifically within the medium of video production and film. Being selected will greatly assist in allowing me to pursue this career move and develop myself both as personally and professionally.

I want to tell stories of marginalised communities and individuals. I aim to work with communities and people that could not otherwise present themselves in a way that they deserve, and want to be involved in the telling of their amazing stories. I understand film to be a machine that creates empathy, and does so by transporting viewers into alternative realities. My belief is that this is a vital contribution to society and contributes to a healthy and sustainable world.

An additional example of this type of work that I produce can be seen here: https://vimeo.com/49875035
