It was held ini April, 25th 2013. I went to that festival with my friends, Rindah and Ika. We enjoy the festival that followed by many countries in the world. Like France, Vietnam, Japan, Korea and so on. It helps us to know the culture in other countries. We also can practice our speaking in English.

In this festival, we can enjoy many foods from other countries. But, it limited. So, I just tasted an Vietnam traditional food. It's so delicious with sweet tasted. We also took many pictures, like a picture with Japanese. I liked this festival. It opened a new friend with other people in the world.

My friend is so lucky. She got a name in Kanji from Japanese, Keigo san. But I didn't follow the festival until the end because I have another agenda. But, it was so benefit for me because I can practice my English and knew many cultures ini other countries.

Sharing Stories - A Glimpse into Another's Life - Beautifull Moment in Menganti Beach

The traveling experience was about 3 years ago when I was in SMK. But it is still memorable. I visited the incredible place with friends , Menganti beach. After coming home from school, we rode a public transportation to get there. We planned to stay at my friend's house, so that the next morning we can enjoy the beautiful morning on the beach.

Menganti beach, is a white sandy beach. Perhaps it only white sandy beach in the district Kebumen. This beach is located about 35 km from the city Kebumen. The city where I live is a small town in Central Java near the southern ocean.

To get to my friend's house, we used the bus twice. Then, we walked the winding road and uphill. Fortunately, at that time we got a free ride from a truck driver. When down from the truck, we had to walk back. Traveling from town Kebumen up to my friend's house, took about five hours. Arriving at my friend's house, we got special treatment from the natives there. Warm water was provided. The food was presented. A snack also was already there. For me, that was very touching.

The next morning, adventure began to the beach. We went in the early morning after prayed. Last night it was raining, so we walked carefully because the road was slippery. It was a very enjoyable trip. Along the way before reaching the coast, there was a great view of the sprawling rice field. Furthermore, we explored the woods and we saw many leeches along the way. Upon reached the shore, we hiked the cliffs, that the high is about 20 meters. It was very exciting. The cliff path above was extremes. If we did not careful we could fell.

When we were in above, we could see the beautifull blue ocean. And we also could see the Nusakambangan island! An island is in the middle of the sea and it is south of Cilacap. At the top of the cliff, there is a lighthouse which established the Dutch colonial in 1912-1915. The high of it is about 20 feet. At the top of the lighthouse, we could freely see the beautiful blue ocean. Unfortunately, that day were cloudy but the scenary still beautiful.

Menganti beach is a virgin beach because it only few of people that know. The wave is suitable for surfing. Menganti beach held an national surfing competitions in 2011. Some fishing boats were sailing and some of them one on the shoreline. Ornaments such as starfish and sea shells adorn the colorful shells shoreline. Hm... it is a very memorable experience.
