My family would tell stories whilst I poured over the photos of the people and places, taken before I was born or too young to remember. In high school, people and landscapes drew my photographic attention. I never studied formally though as my family encouraged me toward academia finally attaining my medical degree and subspecialty a decade later. I traveled whenever I could though and my camera always came. I continued to focus on portrait, animal, and landscape photography but these trips would change the way I view and take images. When I finished my training I collated the my photos so I could share my stories but I found I had no photos of some of my best stories. This pushed me to undertake classes and expand my skills, explore other genre, see things differently, and I find I want to photograph full time. So I'm leaving my practice in 2016 and I can’t imagine a better way to get so much valuable experience than accompanying Jason.
