Roma

Our next stop was Rome. There we visited ancient sites with a friend, who lived there. We went to see the Colosseum, and some churches (honestly the churches were not very exciting). It pretty amazing to see the architecture of an ancient civilization, but My family (Dad, Mom, Little Brother, not including Older Sister and Older Brother) and I are an experience oriented family. So Rome was not the best thing we've ever done, because it's mostly just look and take a photo monuments. Now we are in Istanbul, Turkey...

Eating Gluten-Free Pizza at La Brace

Last night we ate at a restaurant called La Brace. They are a world-champion pizzaria, specializing in gluten-free pizza. It was really great pizza! The appetizers included prosciutto, mozzarella, and other tasty food. We met the chef. Tomorrow we head to Rome.

Our First Country

After a 13 hour plane trip, we were picked up by Piero a stone mason that knew our Dad. We then drove, almost completely asleep, to Santa Marinella (a city 60 kilometers north of Rome). NANANANANANANANANA JET LAG!! Going to a different country where they speak a different language is confusing, exciting, and overwhelming.

It is amazing being in Italy for the first time, they have standards that are much different then in the USA. For intance my brother and I can eat at a bar and pizzeria at one in the morning. Where the bar is in the middle of the dining area. Piero spoiled us with a seafood lunch at his beach club, it was amazing.

Nutella is a huge thing in Italy, all they eat is basically Nutella, Gelato, Pastries, and Pasta (no joke).
