My name is Brian Driscoll (known as Brian D. Russell Online) and here Is why I think I should be chosen:

This project boasts about the wonderful culture of Columbia which I think is a story tellers dream. I am a story teller. One of my passions in life is empathy. I think with today's world of media, usually offering fast gulps information trying to give the full picture too quickly -- we often come to snap judgements of what we think is right or wrong, without considering the people involved. I want to tell the story of the people. I want to give a voice to people who are usually not considered.

We look down on the homeless. I lived in my car for a little longer than a week, it gave me a whole new perspective on homelessness, especially those without shelter. I've road tripped to every corner of America, except Maine -- and noticed how different but at the same time, how human we all are.

I think empathy is one of the most important things we need to spread, and filmmakers are especially equipped to do this. This opportunity would allow me to learn from a professional filmmaker and practice spreading an empathetic story of what the Columbian people are all about.
