Bangkok-Lumpinee Stadium

Back in Bangkok to see scott off. Went to watch the Muay Thai last night at Lumpinee stadium and it was awesome. Had a little bet and actually won even thought i was pissed. Then we went out in the sex district for a laugh and it was funny, Scott is a sex tourist, he freakin loves it. Really we didn't do anything but its funny watching the girls swarm round you thenas soon as the figure out your not going to pay for it then the run a mile. Anyway there was an elephant in the street which was funny

Oh and its all kicked off and Scott can't get to the airport because he might be shot.

Bangkok/ Koh Samui / Koh Phangan/ Kanchanaburi

Well its been nearly two weeks since i last updated this so it feels like i've done quite a bit.

Bangkok:- i headed back to bangkok and meet Scott at the airport at about 6 in the morning, then we headed back to the Kho san road and set him up in a hotel. We then proceeded to drink and smoke sheisha from 8 in the morning till about midnight, it would of been longer but we decided to get a flight the next night out down to Surat Thani and then get a connecting bus ferry to Koh Samui.

Koh Samui

Got to say it was great there, white beaches nice sea, we got a beach bungalow between us and just camped out on the beach (chaweng beach) for the next few days. We headed up along to the top of the beach were there is a bar called Arka bar and that was the most chilled out and relaxed i've been in ages. You lie back and let the waiters take your order and bring you food and just chilled and let the world go by. Until its time to head into town and get even more wasted. Although koh Samui was great it was a little on the expensive side for the accomadation but well worth doing. We spent the next three nights there before getting the connecting ferry to Koh Phangan.

Koh Phangan

Got to say that i loved Koh Phangan, its a little party town. From the moment we got off the ferry and met this little thai guy that could the best cockney accent to when we left the ferry four days later. We satyed at the place called coral bungalows, although i never talked to anyone staying in a bungalow. The first night was a pool party which was wicked, got absolutley trashed on buckets of vodka red bull. And obviously me being me proceed to lose my camera (thats why there are so little pics). After night we headed into town the next night for a quite one because we booked the ferry to got to Koh Toa, that was another mistake but not mine suprisingly, it was Scotts after again drinking to many buckets and trying to jump a rope of fire with this couple we meet(I didn't do to bad and scott was actually good, but the guy we meet we later found had gone to hospital the next day with burns on his leg), there are some great picks on Scotts camera, Scott was then to ill and almost being sick in the toilet to got to the ferry. Anyway we had a quite night the next one but the next was the halfmoon which was good as its in the middle of the jungle, cut into a cliff. Our last night was what i like to call the mushy shake night. We went to mellow mountian in hat rin and had some magic mushroom shakes and well with a couple of those and a full day of drinking the combination was not good and i was dancing like a tit off my head on the beach.

Kanchanaburi

Well we did a massive 12 hour trip containing a trip on sangthaew, ferry, minibus, plane, taxi and finally a bus to get to Kanchanaburi last night. Were staying on a floating hotel on the river Kwai, very basic but good for novelty. We headed to erawan falls, which has seven tiers, its a trek to get to the top but well worth, after getting to know another couple and getting some great tips for heading north, we then went to the death railway and took a quick trip on the train. Then it was off to bridge over the river kwai, all in all it was a very good day and i especially enjoyed Scotts version of Peter Andres beatiful girl.

Pattaya & Hat Jomtein

Headed from Bangkok's eastern bus terminal down to Pattaya to catch some rays until Scott comes out, took about three hours, but instead of taking me to the bus terminal i was dumped by the side of the road with a couple of Korean guys. So i had to guess which way the the main stretch of beach was..,about 30 to 40 mins later i finally foudn where i was meant to be. I if anyone has been to Thailand then this place is like the Kho san raod but instead of food stalls they have massage parlours all offering a "good" massage with a happy ending. So ended up staying one night in the main pattaya area and then got on a sangthaew (a pick up truck with two benches in the back)and headed a couple of kilometers down the road to find a less skanky place. I managed to find a great little guest house to stay in with its own bathroom and a/c for about 400baht so i was well happy with that.

So the next day i got up to head to the beach and then the thunder and a lightning started and didn't stop. The next day i had a walk about and noticed that i was probably the only english speaking person about, the rest were dutch or german families.

When i decied to leave i obviously didn't know where the bus station was becuase my bus didn't actually take me to it ym travel book needs to get some god dam scale to it. I caught another sangthaew to as close to where i thought the bus station was then i had to walk and waht i though was going to take me 5 or ten minuts took me about an hour, so i thought i was lost. So i had to get on the back of a moped taxi, it must have been prettty funny to watch...i towerd over this little Thai driver and then i had my big backpack, if i fell off there was no getting up again.

Anyway i'm back in Bangkok now.

Bangkok

Well i arrived in bangkok, and the jet lag hit me, so i spent most of first day in Thailand asleep. I'm staying in a hotel in sumkhvit soi 24 which is nice but is just out the way for back packers, more for the people that are here for the shopping, lots of store like gucci and armani.

Decided to head over to the ko san road today, much nicer lots of back packers and the food stalls are the great, fresh fruit, thai dishes, spring rolls all for about 10-30 baht a go. Reallly is bargain you can eat a good meal for about a pound.
