Vibrams

ok sorry if this is kind of late, things have been quite hectic. but this is in relation to a few of those that asked about my trustee Vibrams that i’ll be wearing while i attempt the record.

For those of you unaware of what these are they are basically a protective cover for the foot,(picture a glove for the foot) providing no support allowing me to have the same sensation as barefoot running as i am a barefoot running advocate. I have included a great article from runners world on these and barefoot running if anyone wants to check it out.

http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-240-400--13691-1-1X2X3X4X5X6X7X8-9,00.html

furthermore feel free to check out my support page and spread the word.

http://www.everydayhero.com.au/adam_justin

Training Prep

Ok this is my first post/blog of what will be many.

In this one it is a brief outline of the training that i follow for the next few months in preparation.I will not only attend police academy from the hours of 0715hrs - 1600hrs i will work out an average of twice a day. The morning session i take from what is called crossfit,i will link to it if anyone is interested but the workouts are very intense 100% best effort and change everyday, If new to exercise by all means try them but be wary or get some instruction from your local crossfit centre. An example of one workout is;

21-15-9 reps of:
225 pound Deadlift
135 pound Overhead squat

http://www.crossfit.com/

My second workout of the day will consist purely to increase endurance and cardio, Again i will be following the crossfit Endurance homepage but making slight changes in it to suit my needs

http://www.crossfitendurance.com/
