"What is the purpose of your visit to the United States?"- At the first, what I think, when heard this question was: “Yeah! I am in the USA!”
It was 2012 year, summer. I was a participant of international program Work and Travel USA, that giving opportunity for the foreign student spend summer holiday in USA, and also get visa J1 with right on the work. Behind was whole year of waiting and dreaming, long procedure of formalization needed document and very exiting interview with custom officer in the U.S.Embassy. My dream come true, I am just arrived to JFK airport and try to imagine, what expected me in this summer.
I was impressed by NY City, emotion was overfull me, but deficit of time not allowed visit Statue of Liberty and other interesting place. Later was 16-hours transfer to Myrtle-beach, S.C. And finally, I was see by own eyes Atlantic Ocean, it is so amazing, noisy, salt and so warm.
In during summer, I was watching famous American goodwill, polite, service and orderliness. At the first time I was confused by smiling passerby, because it so unusual for glum Russian. I was working by laundry attendant in hotel, work was hard and not interesting. But, should be noted fact: in USA possible to get good money (in conclusion with Russia) without education and experience. Everything, that necessary for life out of poverty is desire to work.
I was impressed by count varieties of represented religion. And phrase “In God we trust”, may be the most frequently. It is interesting fact: most part of American driver using phrase “God bless America” on the license plate, probably it is evidence of patriotism.
If you will ask me about difference between Russia and USA, I’ll make a long list, but at the first should be noted: cleanliness of street, great condition of the road, fullness of vegetation on the street and generally better standard of living.
Famous green lawn, basketball hoops in the yard and running pensioners – all this thing looking so nice and attractive.
But all ends well. After thee month on the east coast send time to go home. My plane departed from N.Y. And, lastly I visited Empire State building. What a exiting place! View on the city staggering!
A single disappointment of my trip was loss opportunity to travel on the country, but looking out of the window plane, I said for myself: “I’ll be back!”
