Travel Insurance Claims - True Stories

Just some of the weird and wonderful things that happen to World Nomads travellers while on the road

Power of Propellers

FIJI | Friday, 26 June 2009 | Views [120]

I was snorkeling in Fiji and I tried to get back on the boat while it was powered on.  I dove down to get the fin I dropped and my head nicked the propeller.  I was taken to shore straight away and had to get 7 stitches plus a tetanus shot.

How World Nomads Helped

Although the claim was denied because the cost did not exceed my deductible, I knew that if there were anything major wrong with my head that World Nomads would have me covered. I was lucky I only needed 7 stitches!

Claim Denied; amount paid was less than the $100 outpatient deductible.
