For me, being a photographer is not just about snapping and editing. It’s about seeing the world from a unique perspective; experiencing a story from an unknown angle; and relaying that feeling onto others’ through imagery. The most striking images are the ones that jump out of the frame, stop the viewer, and make them look and question their existence or significance on a larger scale. My name is Tijana Huysamen, a 27 yrs old female South African. I studied a Bachelor of Journalism and after university I worked as a Visual Media Producer for a travel media company. I soon realized that my wanderlust wasn't being fulfilled. So I embarked on a 3 year journey, living in South Korea and traveling to 27 countries worldwide. Travel photography is my life’s biggest passion. It has molded me into a global citizen understanding people from all walks of life. I now feel the time is right to begin a career in Travel Photography, but in a competitive fast paced world, it is hard to know where to begin. This opportunity would help me learn from the best, and gain valuable knowledge and experience. I am ready to begin a journey to Greenland, where my travel photography career can be planted.
