I woke up with itching, burning lips and the skin under my lip, going half-way down to my chin was red, flaky and itchy. The skin on the inside of my mouth approaching my gums also had sores on it. The doctor diagnosed this as a fungal infection probably from the intense humidity in Vietnam. He prescribed Candid B cream to be applied twice a day and the infection has since cleared up.
