I didnt realise you could wind-up in hospital from diarrhoea until I travelled in India. I had been suffering 'the runs' on and off over three months and had lost about 15 kilograms. I was feeling extremely weak and dehydrated, and called in to a local hospital, where I was admitted immediately. Tests revealed a bacterial infection in my intestines. I also had an open sore on my chin that looked infected. Hospital staff took a sample of cells from my sore and confirmed the bacterial infection was also present in my chin. I was in hospital for nearly a week!

How World Nomads helped

Two nights in hospital in Indonesia and further blood work. (Medical expenses totalled $525.40, but policy had a $100 excess.)

CLAIM PAID AUD $425.40
