Does that Monkey have rabies?

THAILAND | Wednesday, 17 May 2006 | Views [2093] | Comments [2]

I was on Had Rinn island in Thailand with a friend just walking around the town and noticed a local person with a monkey on a leash. When asked if we could pat it he said yes. My friend patted the monkey and was allowed to hold it and then I went to pat him and he bit me on my thumb. It was only a small bite but the doctors recommended rabies vaccinations and anti biotics because it had broken the skin.
