你好!Welcome to my travel journal Gnomin' Around the World! I am rather a busy person but have travelled extensively over the last ten years so I'll list my trips here by way of introduction so you can get a feel for where I'm at now..................

1998-1999- took advantage of a strong GBP and the Pacific economic collapse to go on a year long round-the-world holiday. Visited the following countries: USA (x2), Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama City, Canada, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Brunei, Malasia (Borneo & peninisula), Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, India, Nepal, UAE Dubai.

2002/3- After a few years refuelling my bank account and a few short excursions to continental Europe, I spent two months in Italy (one in Rome training to teach English as a Foreign Language) and then moved to China.

2003-now- I have held 3 different teaching jobs in 3 different places in China, returning home periodically to maintain my status as ordinary resident of the uK and to attend my sister's wedding, and I have travelled extensively throughout China with the exception of Inner Mongolia and DongBei.

During that time, I spent my Spring Festival holidays travelling other nearby countries and took the opportunity to visit Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines and Japan (x2).

In fact, I have just returned from trekking in Japan and enjoying the full wetness of a typhoon on Japan's wettest island-Yukashima!

That's all introductionwise...I'll add updates as and when I have time, cheers!
