Hi Everyone,

     My name is Jake. I'm a college student currently at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg Virginia, U.S.A. Like many people, I dream of traveling the world. I am troubled by "an everlasting itch for things remote" (Moby-Dick) So, I've decided to equip myself with the tools to fulfull that dream. I am about to start a TEFL program in the gorgous city of Prague. TEFL stands for "Teaching English as a Foreign Language." With this certificat, I will be able to get a job as an English teacher in almost any country in the world! Sounds pretty good right!!  Well, I'm writing this blog for two reasons. The first is so that anyone who wants to see what its like to earn a TEFL in Prague can read about my experiences and have a good idea what its all about. The other, is that I recieve a type of credit at my college for keeping a journel about my trip. 

     I leave on the 5th of July. I will be keeping this journal as current as possible during my trip, and posting lots of photos as I go, so keep checking back!! Have a wonderfull day!
