Hi, I think most people who are looking at this site know who we are, but just in case you have stumbled upon our website by chance we better tell you a bit about ourselves. I (Steve) am from a small town near Manchester and Emma is from a small village in County Durham in Northern England. So as you can imagine, there was not a whole lot to keep us there!
I got the travel bug travelling around Europe and the USA in the early 90s, but it really got a hold of me when I spent 5 months backpacking around the Indian subcontinent in 97/98. At the same time Emma had got fed up with England and left to teach in Sri Lanka. We met during that trip and the rest is history. We both teach and this is mainly for the long holidays and the opportunity to travel. We have explored South East Asia extensively, having lived in Sri Lanka and Bangkok and have lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia since 2005. We hope to get the chance to go to South America and maybe even fit in a week at home at some point!
When we are not out and about walking, cycling or searching for wildlife around Asia, you will find us drinking beer and watching football, cheering on Man City (me) or Liverpool (Emma) in one of KL's bars!
