Breathtakingly expensive

Arriving in Oslo from from Shanghai the jet-lag and dubious British Airways sandwich on the leg from London left me wanting to vomit. Probably not the best start to a new country and one that perhaps colours my time there. The taxi from the airport was an astonishing $200, although I only realised the exchange rate after the fact which was probably just as well.

We were hear to present our footprints network to the Global Ecotourism Conference. It was worth the time, effort and professional coaching to get this just right as when Christy stood up on the day, the room came alight and there was a considerable buzz afterwards.

We made some invaluable contacts who immediately got the idea and promised to help us grow the network and make a difference. Watch this space. Gopi from and Blue Yonder was particularly inspiring simply because of what his energy and entrepreneurial skills have managed to achieve with almost no resources.

So nice so quiet so empty and so lacking in activity. Just like other parts of Europe.

Hi ... I received a mail saying you had left a message on my blog but it doesn't appear. Now I see you are the original WN, have I written something offensive?

Cheers
Stu

PS - I am in Norway at the moment and it is the most expensive place I have ever been
