feeding time

THAILAND | Thursday, 20 July 2006 | Views [576]

The elephants no longer working in logging camps but seem well cared for by their mahoots, enjoying a living as a regular tourist attraction. The 'rides' offered by the camp are a bit of a joke compared to the 'real deal' in Laos, but feeding time was a hoot. Our boys loved it ... watch carefully and you can see Kai peel the banana ... eat it and pass the poor skin to his chosen elephant. (Kai is our 20 month old nicknamed 'dash' after The Incredibles character, which gives you an idea of his behaviour).

Sigh.
