Nggela is an amazing little weaving village, if you can stomach the journey to get there. Here the villages were showing us how they ferment the indigo used in their phenomenal Ikat weaving.

We ate lunch at this headman's house, then he took us out in his dug-out. The village got swept away by a tsunami a few years later ... his village was right on the shore ...
