I took this ferry from Aqaba (Jordan) to Nuweiba (Egypt), then a long bus ride across the Sinai Peninsula to Cairo in time to meet my dad... Views[12] ... In the meantime, he was having the flight of his life from Toronto, after being bumped up to first class for free! Views[14] A few hours after Dad landed in Cairo and was settled in the hotel, we went on a 2-hr dinner & show cruise on the Nile Views[12] Views[11] One of the dancers (a little unconventional, but fun nonetheless!) Setting off on a day trip to the pyramids around Cairo Views[10] We took quite a liking to our taxi driver, Riyad, who we wound up hiring for all of our driving needs around Cairo Views[13] Views[9] The first pyramid at Dahshur Views[12] Dad taking a breather before climbing down 60 m into the pyramid to check out a tomb Views[11]

There were several dogs perched around the walls of the ruins... Views[15] Views[12] Views[11] Views[10] The fantastic Imhotep Museum at Saqqara, filled with impressive finds and displays - one of the best I've ever seen Views[12]
