This is a photo of Aswan Botanical Gardens. The Sahara Desert is visible behind the lush green gardens, One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

This photo was taken when driving away from Cairo crossing over the Nile River. I love the contrast in this shot between the smoggy city in the background with the green grass and dilapidated shack in the foreground.
