Travel Advice And Travel Safety. Stay informed on the road.

Welcome

An overseas trip is almost a rite of passage for huge numbers of young travelers. And once you have the travel bug, you've usually got it for life, which means planning the next trip is always on your mind. Travelling inevitably results in many of life's great memories – good or bad!  Unfortunately, travel plans don’t always include thinking about the things that could go wrong.

Each year Foreign Affairs departments and consular officials handle hundreds of thousands of cases of travelers in difficulty overseas.

There are a few things you can do before you pack your bag and while you're on the road to stop you from becoming one of those unhappy consular statistics.

Keep your wits about you, trust sparingly and keep in touch – with the folks back home, with current events that may affect you, and with fellow travellers who can share tips and warnings.

Throughout this blog look out for our company icon (the orange Inca man) Sanchez who puts on his Captain Sensible hat and offers up common sense tips for travelling safely. We hope that you can be confident that you'll stay safe – or at least be well prepared when the unexpected happens.
