Hey Everybody sorry it's been a long time before our first article but here it is!!!  HAPPY NEW YEAR to everybody!  Aidan and I have arrived safely and been scurrying around Manhattan for the last few days in the biting cold. Apparently it is the warmest December on record which is lucky for us but we are still finding it more than a little bit brisk.  We have been doing lots of walking - yeah I know me walking it's true... I'm even wearing sensible shoes and everything.  We hit times square as soon as we got out of our hotel and it is just amazing. You see it so many times on tv but it is truly awesome and just a little spine tingling.  We've caught a few comedy shows and have been all over manhatten. Eeeek two minutes remaining better post this will try to post another soon.

NYs in the mountains was pretty quiet - just went to a house where a whole bunch of climbers from queensland were staying. managed to stay up to midnight - yay me!
