For any of our football fanatic Nomads that have made the pilgrimage to Germany for the World Cup, red24 have compiled these tips to help keep you travelling safely:

· Avoid any celebratory events after matches as high alcohol consumption and national fervour may lead to excess celebrations, hooliganism, and fights

· Stay away from any planned demonstrations and large gatherings

· Do not stand and watch football hooligans fight or taunt each other

· If you sense that trouble is imminent then remove any form of supporter’s regalia and conceal it from view

· In the event of being caught up in street violence, have a plan prepared to evacuate any area of trouble

· Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Always take note of what and who is around you.

· Avoid travelling alone, especially at night, and stay away from unlit streets, remote roads and short-cuts

· Transport will be organised in cities where matches are being played. Use the provided transport and follow the advice of police and local officials.

· Determine a meeting place with friends or family should you become separated after the match.

· Carry a minimum amount of cash, and try to leave your purse/wallet at home.

Keep essential telephone numbers with you, including numbers for police, ambulance and emergency services.

The advise says to "Avoid any celebratory events after matches"!!!

It may as well say "avoid fun" or "avoid the World Cup".
